About Tatiana Carrillo, D.O.
I chose medicine to be a voice and a resource for communities like the one I grew up in—the South Bronx—where access to quality care is often limited, and health disparities are far too common. My lived experiences have shaped my understanding of the challenges many patients face, both inside and outside the hospital. As an Emergency Medicine physician, I believe in providing care that is immediate, equitable, and compassionate. Every patient deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected, especially in moments of crisis. My approach is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Dr. Tatiana Carrillo is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, followed by a Master's degree from Hunter College in Developmental Biology before completing her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.Dr. Carrillo currently practices emergency medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center and NYPresbyterian- Lower Manhattan Hospital.
